WHAT WE DO
DISASTER PREPAREDNESS
TRAINING AND OUTREACH
FOR EVERYONE!
THE PROGRAMS
The CERT program educates people about disaster preparedness for hazards that may impact their area and trains the in basic disaster response skills, such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, and disaster medical operations. CERT helps the first responders. CERT is part of the community program in which neighbors help neighbors.

The DART program educates people about disaster preparedness for animals that impact their area and trains citizens on basic disaster response skills, such as trailering animals, relocation plans, and go bags. Using the training, DART helps the citizens plan evacuations. DART is also part of the community program in which neighbors help neighbors.
THE HARD TRUTH
60% of American adults have not
practiced what to do in a disaster
only 39% of respondents have
developed an emergency plan
80% of Americans live in counties that
have been hit with a weather-related disaster
East Mountain CERT received this trailer over 5 years ago from a Albuquerque CERT graduate and now emergency manager for Sandoval County, Seth Muller. We now have the decals on the side of the trailer thanks to Torrance County emergency manager Matt Propp. It just shows how we work together to help in our community as well as neighboring communities.
